Local Sparta resident Adele Bradford Jones has created a very special journal to easily document your family history.  The purpose of this book is to record your own life events and significant dates as they happen so you can enjoy recalling them in the future.  Journal the first steps of your child, family trips, starting a new job or the thoughts or sayings of the loved ones around you. and your own life changes.
 
A portion of the proceeds from this book will go towards Sparta Twp Library.

The 2011 class of Leadership West Michigan (LWM) graduated on December 15, 2011. The class of 27 participated in 8 day sessions over the past 4 months which included a two day bus tour of the region and culminated in Regional Trustee day and graduation.

The Sparta Education Foundation (SEF) has reduced the price of their 16-month community calendar to $5. The monthly calendar (September 2011 to September 2012) features student artwork, school events for ALL grade levels (conferences, MEAP and exam dates, etc.), community events sponsored by the Sparta Chamber of Commerce and much more. The calendar is being sold in school offices, at the Sparta Township Office and at The Club until January 31.

All proceeds from the calendar sale are “returned to the community” through grants that the Foundation provides to teachers and support staff. For twenty years, thanks to many caring donors, teachers who receive SEF grants have been able to purchase “extras” for their students that were not available through the regular school budget.
