ALGOMA TOWNSHIP, Mich.—Two developments that would bring approximately 200 new jobs to Algoma Township have been given the green light.

On Tuesday, Feb. 18,  the Algoma Township Planning Commission approved the site plans for a senior living complex at 2951 10 Mile Road and a manufacturing facility at 10095 Northland Drive.

The housing development is being spearheaded by Edmund London & Associates from Southfield.  They plan to transform an outlot near Meijer into a community for seniors.

Dykema LP is the developer of the manufacturing facility, which will cut steel for the tool and die industry.

Planning Commission Chairman Tyler Lecceadone says construction on both developments would start when the weather breaks and if all necessary permits are approved.
