Rodeo grounds to be site for Halloween event

The old Sparta rodeo grounds on the corner of 13 Mile & M-37 has sat vacant since the closure of the rodeo. Robert Preston, president of The Stable Group, Incorporated and John Kunz of Arrowhead Productions and a Sparta resident have taken interest in the property and work is in progress to convert the land into a Festival of Fear for the month of October. This goulish project will consist of family friendly activities from pumpkin patches, face painting, mazes and haunted trails. The 100-plus acres will be Michigan's largest outdoor Halloween venue, offering something for the entire family! Hours of operations are Friday through Sunday from noon to midnight and most week days from 5pm to midnight. Check out the website at www.festivaloffear.net for detailed hours of operation.
