The town of Kent City is showing its joyous colors at the end of this week for a Fall Harvest extravaganza.

Bring the family to the American Legion on Friday, September 8 from 5-8pm for a delicious Fish Fry to start off the festivities. Saturday, September 9 to kick off the day, stop by the Kent City High School for a delightful pancake breakfast, starting at 7am-10am sponsored by the Casnovia / Kent City Lions Club

There is so much to experience with a Community Yard Sale from 8am to dusk, a Car, Truck & Bike Show beginning at 12:30pm, Arts & Craft Show, a Fall Parade, Kids Street Fair, a Pedal Tractor Pull, a Spaghetti Dinner and so much more that your family will not want to miss.

Last but not least, enjoy the beautiful display of fireworks around dusk at the Kent City High School Football Field.

Tally-Ho! Puppet Festival Returns!

For the third year, the Sparta Chamber invites all ages to check out this Puppet Festival fun!

Visit Sparta Civic Center located at 75 N Union Street on Saturday, March 11 from 10:30am – 2:00pm for creative storytelling in a unique way. The family can enjoy the “World of Puppets” by Professor Jason Yancey, Advertureland Puppets, History of Vocal Illusion by David Fowler and The Village Puppeteers in “Lost Storyland” plus puppet making activities between shows.

Cost is $5.00 per person or $15 per family. Puppets, ventriloquist figures, books and more will also be available for purchase.

The Grand Haven, Spring Lake & Ferrysburg Chamber of Commerce invite residents & visitors to take part in this sand art building activity this Saturday.

After 2 hours of sand creating, individuals, teams & families will be judged and awarded prizes on their unique presentation.

Steel City Rovers to perform in New Era, Michigan

Steel City Rovers are bringing their show, “Winter Tidings” to Morat’s Bakery and Pub Stage in New Era, MI on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 7:00pm.

This group from Canada, performs a mix of old world Celtic seasonal standards, secular and non-secular works and some of their new compositions tailored for the season. An energetic show of toe tapping jigs, reals and uplifting songs. A great seasonal outing.

The cost for this great show is a $5.00 cover charge; dinner prices from $10.00 - $15.00 from the dinner menu.

A perfect craft day is offered for women this Saturday, November 21.

Howard Christian Nature Center invites hunter widows the chance to pass the time away with an opportunity to use their talent to create upcoming holiday mementos’ to take home.

Natural ornaments & Wreaths for the holidays are the craft activities offered at Camp Lily’s on 20 Mile Road on Saturday, November 21 from 11am-1pm. Register soon to attend this crafty experience!

A donation of $10 is encourage, which includes supplies.

Greenville High School will perform the play “Little Shop of Horrors” on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 19 – 21 at 7:30pm at the Greenville Performing Arts Center, located at 111 N. Hillcrest in Greenville, MI.

St. Patrick-St. Anthony Parish Prayer Shawl Ministry Passes 150 Mark in Donated Items To Community

GRAND HAVEN, Mich., MAY 14, 2015--Since 2007, an informal group of women from St. Patrick-St. Anthony Parish has been knitting and crocheting hand made shawls, lap robes, afghans, hats, mittens, scarves and similar items to give veterans, infants, middle schoolers, hospitalized persons, those in nursing homes, parish members and community friends comfort.  Now in its eighth year, the group--known as the Parish Prayer Shawl Ministry--has passed a major milestone of donating 150 items to persons in the lakeshore community and as far away as Haiti.
