Comstock Park nips Sparta

COMSTOCK PARK (WZZM) -- With a win over the Sparta Spartans Friday, the Comstock Park Panthers would clinch their first playoff berth since 2005.

Some highlights: The Panthers lead 13-7 in the third quarter when Jake Brown fumbled the shotgun snap.  He recovered though, unloading it deep to Andrew Edgemont who hailed it in behind his defender for the 45-yard score bringing Comstock Park's lead to 19-7.

Sparta bounced back though with a touchdown by Kory Brown.  That narrowed the lead to 19-14.

In the end Comstock Park was able to hold on and beat Sparta 19-14.  The Panthers are playoff bound.
